Q: Why are you running for or seeking re-election to Whitchurch-Stouffville Town council?
A: I’m running for re-election because I believe deeply in Ward 6 and the community we call home. Over the past eight years, I’ve worked hard to bring the voices, concerns, and wishes of Ward 6 residents to the Council table and there is still work to do. I want to continue fighting for better traffic solutions, responsible and affordable housing, new businesses and good local jobs, while protecting the green spaces and country-community character that make our community so special. As we grow, our infrastructure, facilities and amenities must grow with us and residents must have a strong voice in those decisions.
If re-elected, I will continue working full-time for you, advocating for our community and protecting what we love about where we live.
And I’m asking for your support to keep moving our community forward — together.
Q: Briefly outline your platform and what you feel strongly about.
A: Growth Management & Neighbourhood Character
Smart, gentle density and strong urban-design standards so growth fits our neighbourhoods, not the other way around.
Traffic Safety, Speeding & Connectivity
Radar speed signs, raised crosswalks, safer school zones, and connected, lit multi-use trails.
Main Street Revitalization & Business Support
Accountable, on-time Main Street reconstruction, more downtown parking, and vibrant local businesses.
Parks, Recreation & Amenities
Expanded pool, rink, fitness and playground capacity funded by growing our commercial tax base.
Responsible Budgets & Open - Door Representation
Careful spending, stable tax rates, and an accessible councillor who listens and responds.
Q: If you are elected, what would be your top priority for the community, and why is that the most important issue to address in the coming term?
A: My top priority will be continuing to bring more businesses and good jobs to Stouffville.
Last term it was a priority and I’ve been pushing for this because I believe our residents deserve the opportunity to work closer to home, and because we need a stronger commercial tax base to help create a better balance between what our residents and businesses contribute in property taxes. We have seen new business growth however we can’t stop here. I want to see more businesses choosing Stouffville - bringing investment, jobs and new opportunities because they see it as a great place for their employees to raise their families. But growth has to be done thoughtfully. We also need to keep investing in the facilities and amenities our families rely on, and make sure our roads and transportation systems keep our residents moving safely as our community grows.
There are many important issues ahead, but I will continue to focus on what I believe makes Stouffville stronger a community where we can live, work, raise our families and enjoy everything our town has to offer.

Q: Why are you running for or seeking re-election to Whitchurch-Stouffville Town council?
A: I am running for Ward 6 Councillor because Stouffville deserves strong, accessible, and
accountable leadership that listens to residents and acts in the best interest of our community. As
our town continues to grow, it is more important than ever that residents have a voice at the
council table. I want to be that voice - someone who is approachable, responsive, and committed
to representing the concerns and priorities of Ward 6.
Q: Briefly outline your platform and what you feel strongly about.
A: Communication Is a Priority.
Good government starts with good communication. Residents deserve to know what decisions are being made, why they are being made, and how they affect their neighbourhoods. As your councillor I will work to improve communication between Town Hall and residents through regular updates, community engagement, and open dialogue. Listening is just as important as speaking, and I am committed to ensuring every resident feels heard.
Protecting Our Environment Stouffville’s natural spaces, parks, trails, and green areas are a
part of what makes our community special. As we grow, we must balance development with
environmental responsibility. I will advocate for sustainable planning, environmental
stewardship, and initiatives that help protect our natural resources for future generations.
Promoting Civic Responsibility A strong community is built when residents are engaged
and involved. I believe in encouraging civic responsibility by supporting volunteerism, community participation, and transparent decision-making. Together, we can create a culture
where residents feel empowered to contribute to the future of our town.
Q: If you are elected, what would be your top priority for the community, and why is that the most important issue to address in the coming term?
A: When elected, my top priority will be building a strong, welcoming and sustainable community
where families can afford to live, businesses can grow, and residents feel heard and represented.
Affordable housing is especially important to me because families who are starting out need
opportunities to put down roots in our community. We need to continue looking for practical
ways to encourage housing options that are attainable for working families while maintaining the character of our town. I also see an opportunity for a hotel to be an important addition to our community.
A well-planned hotel will support our many sports teams and the rest of our community by providing accommodation for visiting teams and tournaments, while also welcoming visitors from out of town and creating additional economic activity for local businesses.
Just as important to me is how I will represent Ward 6. I am committed to regular communication, being accessible to residents, following up on concerns, and ensuring people know their voices are being heard.
I will also work respectfully and collaboratively with our Mayor and fellow councillors. We will
not always agree, and I believe healthy debate is an important part of good local government. When I oppose an issue, I will clearly and concisely explain why, while remaining respectful and open to hearing other perspectives.
The coming term is an opportunity to make thoughtful decisions that strengthen our community
for the long term. My priority will be to listen, work together, and focus on practical solutions
that benefit the residents of Ward 6 and our community as a whole.
